Built Environment Data Demonstrator

Project

BEDD (Built Environment Data Demonstrator) is a mock-up tool that facilitates cross industry use-case definition in data utilization. This first version of the BEDD tool is focused on one building's energy optimization in the built environment. The overall aim is to facilitate and increase cross sector data collaboration and find synergies in standardization.

There is a great opportunity to approach data utilization and digitization for energy optimization yet it needs fetching data from cadastral registry, BIM models, HVAC-systems, EV-charging systems, and city planning. The BEDD tool visualizes energy optimization data that is already available but might be defined and utilized in their own silos. The visualization is done for three different roles: investor, building owner and individual people. Some of the data is fetched as a dummy data due to limited resources but the idea is to promote the data structure and maintain general understanding.
